Legendary Sound Research proudly presents its second installment in its edit series. We bring you more quality reworks for dancefloors everywhere! This time, the release has a pure summer vibe! These tracks are best enjoyed with a fresh cold cocktail either on the beach or by the pool!
We selected Romanian underground dance scene veterans Khidja's "Candid Day For Love" as the opener to the release. It's a feel good dubby take on a disco classic, skillfully chopped, layered and seasoned with effects. Sure shot for bikini wearing girls to get moving at your next festival or pool party! Next up is legendary edit master Alkalino with "Give Me Your Love", showcasing disco-funk groove at its finest. Another guaranteed winner for the poolside dancefloor! After his mind blowing debut on our previous release, LSR hot find Andrei comes back with another infectious disco groove. "Let's Go Raw" is irresistible in its demand to make people move! Next up, is edit maestro extraordinaire Rayko. "Wait (Sunny Delight)" is, well, a sunny delightful dubby track characteristic of Rayko's roots in the Canary Islands! It's all about a day (or more) on the beach! Also present on our first edits volume, Richmed returns with some more heavy grooves. He does his thing of combining the hardest funk groove with a disco rhythm and lush strings on "Do Your Thang". This will get the dancefloor even hotter on a summer night! Scotsman 78 Edits might have some dubious weather during summer in Edinburgh but he manages to bless us with a sweet sunny track! "Can't Have My Love" has a subtle groove complimented with soulful vocals. Perfect sounds for an afternoon in the sun! And last but not least, Legendary Sound Research manager, The Legendary 1979 Orchestra closes the compilation once again with an electro boogie stomper. Heavy beats and chops rebuild an 80s classic on "Burning (Oh Baby)". The track has a hypnotic teasing groove made of sizzling vinyl samples that heats things up with sleaze!
We hope you enjoy listening and playing the release as much as we did making it!

Juno Records review
Straight up disco action right here on the first sampler in a new series, which arrives with driving 70s edits from four talented producers. First up, Rayko delivers "Wait (Sunny Delight)", an irresistibly hummable party tune for the summer months; this is followed by "Give Me You Love" by Alkalino, a more funk oriented affair with a charming vocal and a wonderful slice of percussion. 78 Edits do their thing on the B Side with "Can't Have My Love", giving us that classic early 80s sound and finally, The Legendary 1979 Orchestra re-work "Burning (Oh Baby)", taking a more experimental approach that bases itself on the early electro vibe. Big tunes.
Having impressed with the first collection of re-edits earlier in 2012, the Legendary 1979 Orchestra gather together more floor-friendly reworks from friends and associates on their own Legendary Sound Research imprint. With different tempos, sounds and styles at play, it's a well-rounded collection. Contrast, for example, the tough 80s-electro-goes house vibes of Legendary 1979 Orchestra's "Burning" and the slow, soulful bump of 78 Edits' "Can't Have My Love". Or, for that matter, the breezy party vibes of Andrei's "Let's Go Raw" and the heavy funk of Richmed's "Do Your Thang". There's also some more 80s disco tweakery from Spanish edit workhorse Rayko.
